Thunderbird North is a quiet neighborhood located at the far northwestern corner of Quail Valley, and consists of 581 lots on the following streets:

This neighborhood was developed by Mr. J. H. MacNaughton, and most homes were built by Henessey and Dollar Homes beginning in 1976. Homes range in size from 1500 to 2300 square feet.
The Thunderbird North Community Association maintains the common areas and amenities to include a swimming pool, playground, and lighted tennis courts for its residents. These facilities are located on the corner of Turtle Creek and Cherry Hills Drive.
Thunderbird North has a variety of offerings for residents. Most elementary-aged children in Thunderbird North are within walking distance of Lantern Lane Elementary. Several City parks are within a short distance from the neighborhood, including Roane Park and the 100-acre Community Park. A wide variety of activities and amenities are available in these parks for community members of all ages, ranging from little league baseball to disc golf.
